Assistant Professor, Dept. of Communication Sciences and Special Education Javad Anjum is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education at the University of Georgia. He worked as a physician in India and pursued clinical research in Neurophysiology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences. He then completed an MEd in Educational Research and Evaluation and a PhD in Speech-Language Science, both from the Ohio University. Javad specializes in semantics and his current research interests are in understanding the impaired and unimpaired cognitive-linguistic processes in aphasia and other neurogenic language disorders and developing assessment methods and treatment programs towards improving rehabilitation outcomes in this population.
